The Lee County Genealogical Society has developed partnerships with many Internet websites that offer assistance in genealogical research. These partnerships allow the Society to receive small referral fees which are used to purchase additional Genealogy Reference Books for the Genealogical Collection at the Downtown Fort Myers-Lee County Library at 2050 Central Avenue in Fort Myers, Florida. ![]() Footnote.com where images of millions of records are made available online through Footnote.com and their partnership with the National Archives. The online collections include documents involving the Revolutionary War, Civil War, World War I, World War II and United States Presidents. These documents contain valuable information that will tell you about your ancestors and the times they lived. The indexes of all collections are free to search online. Some documents such as U.S. Milestone Documents, Project Blue Book, Pennsylvania Archives, Papers of the Continental Congress, Constitutional Convention Records and Correspondence of George Washington are free to view. Other documents can be viewed and downloaded for a fee - either monthly or yearly. Genealogical.com - Genealogy Books, Genealogy CDs and Family History LCGS has now partnered with Genealogical.com which publishes both genealogy books and CDs. Genealogical.com is the online home for Genealogical Publishing Company, Clearfield Company and Gateway Press. All well known publishers of genealogical reference books. The Society will be earning 10% commissions on total purchases excluding shipping, handling, credit card service fees, sales tax and charges for out of print books, order returns and cancellations. Many of our Special Interest Groups have recommended books that may help in your research and can be purchased from this partner.
