The following genealogy collection study guide/map is intended to assist patrons with locating materials in the Fort Myers-Lee County Library genealogical collection. We use Dewey Decimal classification for book call numbers. For purposes of this study guide, each range of genealogy books consists of seven shelves, unless otherwise noted. Each range highlights the call numbers and subjects of major interest within its borders to facilitate locating materials. The call numbering system goes from left to right on each shelf, top to bottom in each range.
